About Us

Door County Horizons opened its doors for business in 1989
with the goal of representing the county's finest properties. It was formed by Tad Gilster whose previous brokerage firm,
The Gilster Company, dominated the Northern Door County market in the
early and mid-eighties. In 1991, Door County Horizons joined forces with Coldwell Banker to become the exclusive Door County Coldwell Banker franchise.
Scott Bader (an agent with
The Gilster Company & Door County Horizons) purchased the company in 1995.
In 1999, George & Doris Bodenner’s top Sturgeon Bay firm, Door Peninsula Realty, was acquired. In 2001, Kane Real Estate Company was
merged into the company. Coldwell Banker Door County Horizons has
complete coverage of the Door Peninsula
and serves the Algoma and Kewaunee County area as well. |
